USAF
Children’s Author
AnnMarie Puttbrese, has served over 26-years as an Active Duty Air Force member. She is currently stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Puttbrese considers it a privilege to be able to support our Department of Defense beneficiaries as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Outside of work she is a proud wife and mom to Eddie, Easton, & Alana.
AnnMarie wrote “My Daddy is a Hero in Uniform” and “My Mommy is a Hero in Uniform” when her family was stationed apart for nearly three years between HI & AZ and her kids were young. Struggling to find the words to explain why we were apart -these books are meant for military children whose parent(s) have to travel, deploy, or be stationed apart.

My Review
These books are an absolute MUST for the bookshelf for every military family with young children. The pictures are bright and attention grabbing and the story truly touches on the service of our military members in every branch on a level young children can appreciate. Each page has a fun interactive question to engage young readers, and for small children there is something exciting about recognizing their mom or dad in a book. While this is a young reader book, even the big littles can enjoyed the messaging. AnnMarie Puttbrese did such a wonderful job giving families a tool to celebrate that all members of our service family are special!
